This is a bit of a short update but provides the best and most accurate description of what my work-in-progress novel, "Drifters: Origins" is about and gives a good idea as to what the series as a whole will be about.
Drifters: Origins follows the adventures of Tarvin Dracken, the latest in a long line of sanctioned mercenaries, as he begins his education at the esteemed CorCent Military Academy. His ultimate goal is to follow his family legacy once he completes his service and form his own team so he can help where needed without waiting for orders. His plan doesn’t even make it to the first day of classes as a team quickly forms around him, thanks to some unexpected help. With his carefully laid plans thrown into the wind, he does his best to lead and train with this new team as events unfold that point to an even grander adventure in his future than leading a band of unofficial peacemakers in the Corinthian Frontier.
In future updates on Drifters I'll begin pouring more into the history and lore surrounding the planet the first novel takes place on, Corinth. As you may, or may not, have caught if you read my bio is that I spent a significant amount of time building lore for Corinth and the Drifters galaxy as a whole before I even wrote the first word of my novel.
There is enough content in the lore that I plan to write a prequel series, "The Wings of Change," to cover a particularly significant time in the history of Corinth. Additional stand-alone novels will also be written to bring proper attention to various other important events and significant characters in the timeline.
This is, of course, not including the novels I plan to write in the Magic Realms or other series ... So many things to write and so little time. Well, I guess you'll just have to keep reading on if you want to find out what else will be coming in the future.
